Welcome to 50501 Pittsburgh

50501 Pittsburgh is a growing network of concerned citizens and volunteers—we care about truth, accountability, and protecting democratic norms.

We organize. We show up. We push back.

If you’re alarmed by the rise of fascist movements, book bans, voter suppression, political violence, and power grabs disguised as patriotism, you’re not alone. 50501 is your home base for local resistance.

This comes the day after hundreds of thousands of Minnesotans took the streets to rise up against ICE terror in the first general strike in Minnesota in 80 years.Across the nation, ICE is unleashing terror on our communities. WE SAY ENOUGH! These historic attacks demand a historic response from working and oppressed people all across the country. We must build our collective power to stop this campaign of deadly violence.WE DEMAND that Pittsburgh implement strict non-cooperation with ICE and legislation in defense of our immigrant communities. WE DEMAND JUSTICE for the thousands of people who have been detained and deported, and we fight for justice for ALL those murdered by the U.S. empire, from the Twin Cities to Gaza and occupied Palestine. Please dress warm, bring your friends & neighbors, and help keep each other safe.

What We Do

Mobilize Rapid Response Actions

Rallies, marches, and public shows of resistance to protect civil liberties and push back on extremist overreach.

Support Local Organizing

We amplify the work of existing grassroots and community-led groups in Pittsburgh and beyond.

Host a Community Calendar

Find or list local actions, teach-ins, town halls, and mutual aid efforts. If it strengthens democracy or weakens fascism, it belongs here.

Coordinate with National Networks

We’re in the process of affiliating with Indivisible to access tools, training, and legal infrastructure—while keeping our work locally grounded.
